The Arras Classic Car Show is known as “Arras Bourse d’Echanges” (which roughly translates to Auto Jumble) and takes place in the Artois Expo in Arras in March. It is, however, so much more than an auto jumble, featuring around 500 classic vehicles. UK Classic Car Owners are welcome to display their vehicles (cars must be over 30 years old). Hall 1 contains an extensive auto jumble whilst hall 2 houses an impressive car display, many of which are from the UK.

Arras’s jewel in its crown are the two magnificent cobbled squares: The Grand Place and the Place des Héros. Surrounded by 155 houses of the Flemish Baroque style, these two paved squares are magnificent and make for an enchanting scene. A lively place, the Place des Héros is lined with covered galleries and is dominated by the town hall’s belfry. It is also home to fine food shops and cafes.

The 1914-1918 battlefields of the Somme are in the beautiful and rural landscape of Picardy and the Département de la Somme. The area is still scarred by war to this day; where the remains of trenches, shell holes and the many cemeteries and memorials are a constant reminder of the sacrifices and pain of the Great War.
