We are very aware that this is your holiday and, as such, our tours are designed to be as flexible as possible, so that you have the freedom to enjoy your trip to the max!

In most cases we do not escort our tours, there are 2 main reasons for this:

1. Each year we operate over 250 tours, the bulk of which run in May, June and September. This means it would be almost impossible for us to find enough staff to cover this number of tours.

2. The price of our tours would increase dramatically, as we would have to include the cost of a tour escort’s wages and ancillary costs such as: accommodation, meals, fuel, road tolls etc.
So, instead of a tour escort, we supply you with an in depth road book detailing your hotels, with a selection of detailed maps showing direct and scenic route options; all of which is displayed in chronological order. In addition, your road book will feature points of interests, including sights and attractions that you might be interested in visiting en route.

Again, due to the volume of tours we operate, it is almost impossible for us to drive every route on every tour, so a result we do not include a tulip or other form of step-by-step directions.
Based on the feedback we have received from the 1000s of clients who have travelled with us on previous tours, we indicate a direct and a scenic route on each map by way of highlighting the towns or cities that you will be passing through to get to your destination. We also indicate on each map many of the points of interest or where the 'good driving roads' are, so that you can plan your route accordingly. This gives you the flexibility of choosing which route to take on each section of the tour, albeit direct, scenic or a mixture of both taking in points of interest that you might like to visit.
If you are booked onto a tour that has any additional inclusions, you will normally find the relevant tickets or vouchers at the very front of your road book. In the case of high value tickets, we may decide to send these separately by post, if this is the case there will be a note in your road book confirming this. Also included at the front of your road book, will be a participants list which will tell you the names of those travelling on the same tour as you; it will also give information on the make and model of their car- so you can spot them on the road or in the hotel car park!

Travel Documentation - You will find your travel documents attached at the front of the road book. These documents will contain your itinerary, ferry/Eurotunnel voucher with times and booking reference and hotel voucher(s) showing type of room, number of nights and basis booked. It is important that you check these details as soon as you receive them to ensure all of the arrangements booked for you are correct.

Participants on Each Tour - Our goal is to have around 15 cars on each tour (excluding larger events such as Laon Historique). We cannot, however, guarantee how many cars will book with us and, on some occasions, the number of cars travelling may fall well below this number. We will make every effort to ensure each tour runs irrespective of the number of cars booked.

Ferry Crossings - Most of our European Tours are based on using P&O ferries from Dover to Calais. You can, however, opt to change your route to Eurotunnel or one of several other ferry companies operating ferry services between the UK and the continent. Dover to Calais is normally the cheapest option, so in most cases changing to a different route will incur an additional charge. Our Irish tours include crossings with Stena Line from Holyhead to Dublin, again we can also offer other crossings on request.
Car Parking - Parking is available at ALL of our hotels (unless otherwise stated). In most cases parking at the hotels is included, however, in some cases where this is not possible, parking charges may be payable locally. On some occasions the car parking is independently operated, and, in this instance, we may be unable to include the parking charge in our tour price. We will try wherever possible to let you know the cost of any parking charges in advance.
Breakdown Cover - We do not provide any form of breakdown cover on our tours, again mainly due to cost, but also its impracticality. It is a condition of booking that each driver ensures that they have adequate breakdown cover including; road-side assistance, conveyance of the vehicle to a local garage if it cannot be repaired by the road and repatriation of the car to your home or designated garage if necessary. In this case, you should be supplied with a hire car to continue your journey before being repatriated yourself at the end of the tour.

General Driving Information - The front section of each road book contains important information such as; passport/visa information, breakdown cover, driving in Europe, EHIC medical card, currencies, vignettes you may require, low emission zones, tax and duty free information, plus a check list to make sure you don't forget anything you may need for your trip.
Extend Your Stay - We will be happy to assist you in extending your stay, whether at the beginning or at the end of the tour - please call us for details.
Flight Tours - All bookings which include flights are operated for Scenic Car Tours by our sister company Success Tours ATOL No. 5114. Flight prices are subject to availability within the fare band costed into this tour at the time of publishing this web-page.

In the event of our insolvency, protection is provided for the following: 1) Non-flight packages and 2) Flight inclusive packages that commence outside of the EEA, which are sold to customers outside of the EEA.
