Brooklands was the home of the world's first purpose built motor racing circuit and one of Britain's first airfields.

By 1918 it had become Britain's largest aircraft manufacturing centre, producing military aircraft such as the Wellington and civil airliners like the VC-10. It is also home to Mercedes-Benz World UK, where visitors can experience the performance of Mercedes high performance AMG range.

Brooklands Museum is on the site of the world's first purpose-built motor racing circuit and houses collections of cars, motorcycles and bicycles, particularly from the heyday of the track until it closed in 1939. The Museum displays a wide range of Brooklands-related motoring and aviation exhibits; ranging from giant racing cars, motorcycles and bicycles to an unparalleled collection of Hawker and Vickers/ BAC-built aircraft. Exhibits include, but are not limited to, the Second World War Wellington Bomber, Viking, Varsity, Viscount, Vanguard, VC10, BAC One-Eleven and the only Concorde with public access in South East England.
