Enjoy a 4 day break to the stunning Guernsey, a small island with a big heart! The island is less commercialised than neighbouring Jersey and offers spectacular coastal scenery, crystal clear waters with white sandy beaches, a fascinating maritime and military history and a rich cultural heritage.
Guernsey, in sight of France but proud of its British identity, offers both traditional charm and modern vibrancy. Guernsey is self-governing and, as such, has its own stamps and a unique Anglo-French history. Guernsey has plenty of beautiful beaches, coastal cliff walks and blooming countryside to explore, plus the option to enjoy Guernsey cuisine made up of freshly caught sea food and locally brewed ales.
St Peter Port is the capital of Guernsey and a bustling harbour town that is widely considered to be the Channel Islands' most beautiful. Still maintaining its 17th century charm and character of a bygone age, the town is an eclectic mix of vibrant and independent shops and eateries plus historic buildings and original cobbles.
The islands of Alderney and Sark are easily accessible from Guernsey. Alderney is the closest inhabited island to France and offers uncrowded sandy beaches, truly dark skies under which to star gaze and bird watching for visitors to explore. Sark will transport you back in time and is car free. This jewel of an island will allow you to escape the hustle and bustle of busy modern life and take in the abundant wildlife, scenic walking routes and stunning scenery.
