The Rhine Valley is straight out of a picture book, with sheer cliffs, steep vineyards, a castle perched on virtually every hilltop and pretty villages lining the riverbanks on either side.
The Romantic Road is a scenic drive through Bavaria, that leads you from Würzburg to the fairytale castle of Neuschwanstein nestled in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps. You’ll find picturesque towns with city walls, towers, and half-timbered houses, hidden monasteries and medieval castles along the way.
The Black Forest is one of Germany’s largest and best-known regions. Here, you will be treated to quaint halftimbered buildings to admire, as they nestle in delightful historic towns and villages. There are also dramatic gorges carved by the River Rhine, plus of course those magnificent cuckoo clocks and the famous Black Forest Gateau.

Romantik Hotel Markusturm
This historic hotel was built in 1264 and is located at the Markusturm tower in medieval Rothenburg. It features a traditional restaurant and guests are welcome to dine or relax on the hotel's romantic, flower-filled courtyard terrace during the summer. All rooms at the Romantik Hotel Markusturm come with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and a seating area. Many rooms have antique furniture.
