The Champagne Route begins 75 miles east of Paris and extends along the Marne Valley, reaching the towns of Epernay and Reims, and further south towards Sezanne and the Côte des Barg.

There are five routes covering around 360 miles that take you to magnificent viewpoints, charming villages, ancient monasteries and imposing churches and châteaux.

The Champagne Route commences in the renowned towns of Epernay and Reims, celebrated for their illustrious champagne houses. Amidst these urban gems and extending southward from Epernay, lies a vast expanse of vineyards. Scattered throughout the region are quaint villages with vignerons, family-operated vineyards which continue the timehonoured tradition.

Hautvillers is another essential stop renowned for its abbey, where legend has it that Dom Pérignon uncovered the secrets of champagne making.

Reims Grand Prix Circuit, inaugurated in 1926 for the Grand Prix de la Marne’s second edition, holds historical significance. Though it succumbed to neglect after its closure in 1972, a devoted group of local enthusiasts undertook the arduous task of revitalising it.
