Enjoy a nostalgic tour to Angoulême, where the medieval town fills with racing enthusiasts for the Historique Circuit des Remparts!
Circuit des Remparts is a must for fans of Historic Racing. The international event turns Angoulême into a giant museum on wheels where old-timers and classic cars make fans dreams come true for three days. Modern safety equipment has replaced the hay bales and wooden fences, but otherwise the circuit remains unchanged since the first Circuit des Remparts race in 1939. The event, which finds its route through the centre of the town, occurs in the third weekend of September each year.
Angoulême, a historic hill side town, perches majestically over the Charente River. The old town is a hub for bars and restaurants along the narrow pedestrian streets. The Cathedral dates from the 12th century and, when there’s no racing, you can walk all around the ramparts and look down over Angoulême and surrounding countryside.

The Appart’City Hotel in Angoulême is not a traditional hotel, however, its location on the northern Remparts of the historic city, makes it ideal for exploring the historic centre and motorsport venues. It offers studio style apartment accommodation with kitchen facilities. This hotel offers designated streetside parking alongside the main hotel building, parking is payable locally on check-in. Disabled access rooms are available. Pets are permitted but charges apply.

Located in Champniers, this ibis Hotel is just a 5-minute drive from Angouleme town centre in the Charente region.
