& The Cinque Terre

Enjoy a glorious tour to the Italian Riviera and Cinque Terre, including visits to the beautiful bay of Portofino and the principality of Monaco. The Italian Riviera is essentially another name for the coast of Liguria, one of the country's smallest, but most intriguing regions. Resonating with style and charm, this sweeping shore curves between France's Côte d'Azur and Tuscany. Its beaches border sparkling blue waters and its seaside towns, for the most part, exude an atmosphere of old-world glamour.

Diano Marina is an extremely popular resort on the Ligurian Riviera that attracts a great number of tourists each year. It's characterized by excellent climatic conditions, splendid beaches and a multitude of outdoor events and wonderful cuisine. The entire town is focused on pleasing its tourists and offers hotels, beach establishments and a vibrant nightlife. There's something to satisfy every type of visitor to Diano Marina.

The Cinque Terre is a string of centuries-old seaside villages on the Italian Riviera coastline. In each of the 5 towns, colourful houses and ancient vineyards cling to steep terraces, fishing boats bob in harbours and trattorias turn out seafood specialties along with the Liguria region’s most famous dish, pesto. The best way to visit all the villages of the Cinque Terre is by rail.  Trains depart from Sestri Levante to La Spezia and stop in all the towns with a frequency of about 30 Minutes.

Portofino is a glamourous fishing village home to one of Italy’s most exclusive harbours which is lined with beautiful yachts. This exclusive seaside resort is a haven for jet-setters and the glitterati, and it has long been a favourite with stars of the silver screen, such as Grace Kelly, Clark Gable and Elizabeth Taylor, and more recently, the likes of Madonna and Beyoncé.

Monaco is the world’s second-smallest country, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in attitude. A magnet for high-rollers, it's also one of the world's most notorious tax havens and famous for its Formula 1 Grand Prix, held every May.
