Isle of Wight Tour Itinerary


DAY 1 (HB) - Drive to your chosen ferry port for a morning ferry crossing (departure port and times can be arranged to suit you) to the Isle of Wight. After disembarkation, the remainder of the day is at leisure to explore the Island and its wonderful attractions. Check-in at the Bourne Hall Country House hotel is after 3pm and dinner tonight is included at the hotel.  

DAY 3 (HB) - The day at Leisure to relax or explore the Island.


DAY 4 (HB) - Departing the hotel after breakfast, today our tour takes you via Appuldurcombe House, with its Owl & Falconry Centre. Godshill, an ideal place to stop for cup of tea or coffee. Then you'll enjoy a drive along some small country lanes as you wind your way up towards Newport, where you can visit the excellent Classic Boat Museum and the Bus Museum next door. From Newport you'll head over Brading Downs to Ryde, followed by a drive along the esplanade to the lovely village of Bembridge and Adgestone Vineyard where you can sample some of their fine wines, before heading to Shanklin Old Village and the quaint village of Bonchurch.

DAY 2 (HB) - Deaprting the Hotel after a leisurely breakfast our suggested tour takes along the coast to Blackgang and the excellent coastal road to Freshwater.Then it''s on to Alum Bay to see the famous Needles before driving onto the picturesque port of Yarmouth for lunch. In the afternoon you'll head to Newtown, well known for its National Trust properties, continuing along the seafront to Cowes, the UK's yachting mecca. Enjoy some free time in Cowes then head south to Carisbrooke Castle returning south via the idyllic villages of Brighstone and Mottistone with arrival back at the hotel in plenty of time for dinner at the hotel.

DAY 5 (BB) - Breakfast followed by a morning departure from the hotel. Our routing back to Cowes takes you across country through Newchurch. Your drive takes you past Osbourne House, former home to Queen Victoria. No trip to the island would be complete without a visit to this royal seaside palace where Queen Victoria lived with her beloved Prince Albert and their nine children. Take an intimate glimpse into Queen Victoria’s family life as you tour the nursery and private rooms of Victoria and Albert. Marvel at the magnificence of the Royal Apartments including the sumptuous drawing and dining rooms and the richly decorated Indian-inspired Durbar Room.  From Osbourne House it's just a short drive back to the port for a mid afternoon ferry (times can be arranged to suit you) back to the mainland, followed by your drive home.
