DAY 1 (FS) - London to Nashville - Morning flights from London to Nashville (via Atlanta, New York or similar)
You'll clear customs & immigration at you point of entry into the USA followed by the connecting flight to Nashville where you'll make your way to the Holiday Inn Hotel Downtown, Nashville followed by remainder of the day at leisure.
DAY 2 & 3 (BB) - The full day at leisure to explore Nashville Attractions include; the Country Music Hall Fame & Museum, Ryman Auditorium, Centennial Park & the Parthenon, the Hermitage and the Grand Ole Opry to mention just a few. DAY 4 (BB) - Nashville to Memphis - Morning transfer to Alamo Car Hire to pick up your hire car for the drive from Nashville to Memphis. Todays drive includes the option to visit the Land between the Lakes National Park, The Tina Turner Museum in Brownsville or Jackson, Tennessee. Check in at the Holiday Inn Downtown, Memphis should be late afternoon followed by the remainder of the day at leisure in Memphis - Mileage approx. 215 miles
DAY 5 (BB) - Today we've included a 4 hour morning Elvis Experience Tour Including; Graceland Mansion Audio-Guided Tour with New Orientation Film. Full Access to the all-new Elvis Presley’s Memphis Entertainment Complex featuring a self-guided tour of Presley Motors Automobile Museum, the Entertainer Career Museum, Elvis Discovery Exhibits and Elvis’ Custom Jets. The remainder of the day is at leisure in Memphis - Attractions here include; Beale Street Historic District, National Civil Rights Museum, Sun Studio, Stax Museum of American soul Music, Gibson Guitar factory & tour and Memphis Rock N' Soul Museum. DAY 6 (BB) - Memphis to Tupelo - Morning departure from Memhis for the drive south-east to Tupelo, Elvis' birthplace. Here you can visit Elvis Presley Birthplace & Museum, Elvis Presley Center, Tupelo Automobile Museum and the Tupelo National Battlefield. Your overnight stop tonight is in Tupelo - Hotel TBC - Mileage approx 110 miles.
DAY 7 (BB) - Tupelo to Chattanooga - Morning departure from Tupelo. Today you'll routing takes to east via Fulton, Double Springs in the Bankhead National Forest and Guntersville as you make your way to Chattanooga with arrival at the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel mid/late afternoon. This former main-line railway station has been converted into a hotel, but still with all the period looks and charm of its early 20th century hey-day. Much of the terminal building has been conserved, giving it a living museum quality, with restaurants and bars added - Mileage approx. 245 miles
DAY 8 (BB) - Chattanooga to Bryson City - Breakfast followed by departure from Chattanooga. Today you'll be heading into the Great Smokey Mountain National Park via the Cherohala Skyway, one of most popular National Scenic Byways in North America as it winds its way through the Cherokee and the Nantahala National Forests. You'll have plenty of time to visit some of the sights and attractions and arrival in Bryson City and your hotel should be late afternoon - Mileage approx. 140 miles
DAY 9 (BB) - Bryson City to Asheville - full day at leisure to explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The National Park encompasses over 800 square miles and is one of the most pristine natural areas in the East where experiences include panoramic views, tumbling mountain streams, weathered historic buildings, and mature hardwood forests stretching to the horizon. There are 384 miles of road to choose from in the Smokies. Most are paved, and even the gravel roads are maintained in suitable condition for standard passenger cars. Arrival in Asheville and your hotel should be late afternoon - Mileage approx. 130 miles
DAY 10 (BB) - Breakfast followed by the full day at leisure to explore the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway. Everyone should experience a drive on The Blue Ridge Parkway. The Parkway runs from Cherokee in North Carolina to Virginia. It's beautiful scenery with overlooks and amazing vistas the whole way. No big trucks are allowed on the Parkway allowing you to take in all the amazing sights that creation has to offer. Of course, there are exits all along the way to take in the art, culture, and crafts in the region - Tonight you'll enjoy another overnight in Asheville.
DAY 11 (BB) - Asheville to Whytheville - Breakfast followed by the full day driving the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway from Asheville to Independence. The Parkway has a plethora of attractions for you to explore and enjoy including visitor centers, historical landmarks, museums, Appalachian towns, viewpoints and waterfalls. Arrival in Whytheville and your hotel should be late afternoon - Mileage approx. 165 miles
DAY 12 (BB) - Whytheville to Harrisonburg - Breakfast followed by the full day driving the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway from Independence to Lexington. Attractions today include; Smith Mountain Lake State Park, National D-Day Memorial, Natural Bridge Park, Cave Mountain Park, Crabtree Falls, Grand Caverns, Natural Chimneys Park, Hostetter Museum of Natural History. Arrival in Harrisonburg and your hotel should be late afternoon - Mileage approx. 175 miles
DAY 13 (BB) - Harrisonburg to Washington DC - After breakfast today you'll enjoy the Skyline Drive through the Shenandoh National Park on what will be the last day of this spectaular tour. The Skyline Drive runs for 105 miles along the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Shenandoah National Park and is the only public road through the park. It takes about three hours to travel the entire length of the park. With 75 overlooks, miles of trails, outstanding opportunities to see wildlife, it's a fantastic place to experience the outdoors in the Blue Ridge Mountains. DAY 14 (BB) - After breakfast today you'll have a few hours at leisure in Washington D.C. before heading to Dulles International Airport to drop off your hire car and check-in for your flight back to the UK - Mileage approx. 25 miles
