DAY 6 (BB) - Departing El Tarter after breakfast, today you have two route options, the first and most direct via Andorra la Vella, La Seu d'Urgell, Collde Nargo, Tarrega and Reus before following the coast to Valencia. The second option is slightly longer but more scenic via Puigcerda, Alp, Berga, Monistrol de Montserrat, Sat Sadurni d'Anoia and Vilafranca del Penedes before joing the coast a little east of Tarragona. DAY 1 (D) - Afternoon check-in at the 4 star Radisson Blu Edwardian New Providence Wharf Hotel in London followed by some free time to relax and freshen up before our welcome group dinner in the hotel restaurant. Car parking is available at the hotel but must be paid locally.
DAY 2 (HB) - Breakfast followed by the journey south via the Blackwall Tunnel and the A2/M20 to Folkestone for a late morning Eurotunnel crossing to Calais in France. Following disembarkation your routing today takes you south to Chartres and the Novotel Hotel Chartres. DAY 4 (HB) - Departing Limoges and the hotel after breakfast your journey today you have the choice of taking the direct route to Labège or a scenic drive via Sarlat-la-Caneda and Rocamadour in the beautiful Dordogne, then on to Cahors and Montauban and Toulouse with arrival at the hotel late afternoon. DAY 5 (HB) - Departing Toulouse after breakfast, today we head south to the spectacular Pyrenees via Pamiers and Ax-les-Thermes. The drive up to Andorra offers amazing scenery as you make your way through Luzenac, Ax-les-Thermes before crossing the French border into duty-free Andorra and the 4 star Nordic Hotel in the resort of El Tarter. DAYS 9 & 10 (BB) - Two days at leisure in Gibraltar to explore the sights and attractions including; Europa Point, the Great Seige Tunnels, the Pillars of Hercules and no trip to the Gibraltar would be complete without taking a cable car to the 'top of the rock'.
DAY 11 (HB) - Departing Gibraltar after breakfast, today you'll head north via Seville, Zafra and Merida to Cáceres where you spend the night at the Gran Hotel Don Manuel Atiram with dinner included - Mileage approx. 285 miles.
DAY 12 (HB) - Leaving Cáceres after breakfast today we continue north and cross the border into Portugal and head to the Douro Valley, noted for its spectacular scenery and great driving roads. DAY 13 (HB) - The day at leisure to enjoy this wonderful region and great drives including the 'world's best driving road'. The N-222 from Peso de Regua to Pinhao in Portugal has been awarded the prestigious honour, where 17 miles, 93 bends and breathtaking views of the Douro Valley await you. Cutting through the heart of the stunning Douro Valley and the spectacular views it provides of the wine region below, the road takes you along the River Douro and the picturesque regional wine towns of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
DAY 14 (HB) - Departing Vila Nova de Foz Côa, today your route takes you north via Portugal into Northern Spain via Benavente and Riaño as you make your way into the spectacular Picos de Europa. Today you'll enjoy more amazing scenery and great driving roads en route to Cangas di Onis and the excellent Parador hotel - Mileage approx. 275 miles.
DAY 15 (HB) - Departing Cangas di Onis after breakfast, today you'll enjoy the day driving through the Picos de Europa. Your route takes you via Oseeja de Sajambre, the amazing San Glorio pass, La Vega and Potes en route to Santillana de Mar and the excellent Parador Gil Blas. DAY 16 (HB) - Departing Santillana del Mar after breakfast, today we follow the coast via Santander, Laredo, Bilbao and San Sebastian before crossing the border into France. Your drive then takes you via Biarritz and the Parc Regional des Landes de Gascogne to Bordeaux.
